Welcome to our dog friendly accommodation.  Our pretty secluded cottage and idyllic boathouse chalet in mid Cornwall are both within walking distance to Nancarrow Farm (wedding and feast venue) with footpaths on the doorstep.   We are located just 6 minutes’ drive from the dog friendly golden beaches of Perranporth and close to the A30 in central Cornwall perfect for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer.

Both the cottage and the boathouse have secure outside areas and are situated in quiet corners of our small holding.  You are welcome to exercise your dogs in our fields and the local footpath runs through our property leading to miles of walking options. 

Location

We are located just 10 minute’s drive from the dog friendly golden beaches of Perranporth and close to the A30 in central Cornwall for easy access to both north and south coasts and the many attractions in Cornwall.

Beautiful View

The Boathouse is totally amazing with its beautiful view over the lake (seeing the kingfisher diving was a real treat for sure) , pure tranquillity, nature at its best.
Katie and her family are wonderful hosts, always on hand if need but not obtrusive in any way. Simply the best pace to unwind and relax, we didn’t want to leave.

Will look forward to visiting again. Thank you so much Katie, we hope to see you again soon xx

Highly Recommend

The Boathouse is fantastic little place set next to a beautiful little pond.  A great location to use as a base as we were never more than an hour away from places we wanted to visit, including Land’s End. Katie, our host, was amazing and went the extra mile to make our stay even more enjoyable.

Wonderful Hosts

Katie and her husband were wonderful hosts.  The Cottage is very clean and well equipped in a great location, close to the A30 but very quiet.  I would also recommend purchasing the eggs and vegetables from Katie’s garden.

Many Thanks Katie for a wonderful few days away.  Lovely cottage and location and only sorry we weren’t able to stay longer

Absolutely Lovely

Our stay in Katie’s cottage was absolutely lovely. Katie and her family were the perfect hosts – flexible, kind and approachable but very discreet. The cottage was spotless, beautifully presented and well equipped.
Katie’s communication both before and during our stay was prompt and helpful at all times.

We enjoyed the delicious eggs and produce from her garden that were on offer throughout the week. The Cottage was a quiet haven, from where we were able to explore lots of the Cornish coat, as well as visiting Truro and lots of pretty inland villages. A great holiday!

Wonderful Location

 Wonderful location for accessing all of Cornwall. Great food not too far to drive to collect.
Lovely little cottage to stay summer or winter, with a great kitchen with all you’ll need.

Great little enclosure for the dogs. run by a lovely couple, with great local knowledge.
Make sure to get your fresh produce orders in early.

Lovely Farm

We had the most lovely stay at The Cottage at Ventontrissick over the Easter weekend. Katie was a fantastic host and her and the family were lovely, extremely welcoming and accommodating (including Holly the dog who is now my 9 year old daughters new best friend!)

Set on a lovely farm in the Cornwall countryside, it was very peaceful, but still extremely accessible to all of the lovely coastal beaches and towns nearby.

The cottage itself was lovely, clean and very cosy and being dog friendly, it was great for our two little furry friends.

We really had the most lovely holiday and definitely want to return again in the future. Absolutely 5⭐️

Wonderful Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend in the Boathouse at Ventontrissick. Overlooking the lake from our balcony or through the balcony doors when it got chilly outside. So quiet and peaceful, yet not too far to go to be at the beach or looking around shops.

The place is clean and well kitted out. Very comfy bed, and lovely hot shower too… what’s not to like?!?

Incredible Experience

Myself and my boyfriend had an incredible experience staying at the boat house! The serene water views and cosy atmosphere made it a perfect retreat. The attention to detail in the decor and amenities truly exceeded my expectations.

The welcoming host added a personal touch to my stay, taking me on beautiful countryside walks and showing me around the local area, making it a memorable and enjoyable getaway. What’s more, the reasonable price made this unique accommodation an excellent value for a peaceful and charming escape. Highly recommend and we will most definitely be returning! Xxx
